Tara Joiner is from Orange City, Iowa. She moved to Iowa City to attend the University of Iowa in 2022. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 3d Design at the University of Iowa, anticipating graduation in spring 2026. Her main interests are interior design and architecture. In the summer of 2024 she completed an internship at Nasini Architetti in Milan, Italy. She also completed an Independent Creative Research by Undergraduates fellowship in the 2024-2025 academic year, and continuing the fellowship during the 2025-2026 year. During the summer of 2025, she worked at Allsteel as an Architectural Product Design Intern.
